A trending topic today is “self-care”. There are even hashtags devoted to it on social media and groups of women meeting for Self-Care Saturdays all over the world. What does this mean? Caring for yourself after a busy week of career or family duties includes a wellness, exercise, beauty and even shopping routine. This is “me” time for the ladies! In this article we are going to cover a few places to include on your self-care days here in the Perdido Key area. If you don’t have a day (or a couple of hours) set aside, consider adding it to your to-do list next week!
Wellness (Mind & Body)
Find your Zen at Bodyworks of Perdido Key with services ranging from massages, facials, eyelash extensions, yoga classes and a lot more! This spa is an oasis of wellness services and each treatment is done with care, compassion and while assessing your individual needs along the way. You will leave Bodyworks feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and energized. The best part about this place is the staff. Everyone you encounter from the time you walk into the door is friendly and highly devoted to your personal needs! Whether you are a local or visiting on vacation, you feel special during your visit.
EnrG IV has been one of the most talked about wellness spots in the area this season! As people move from one season to the next and recover from colds or allergies as the pollen falls, this vitamin IV lounge is a unique place to check out! What is it? Well IV Vitamin Therapy is the process of administering vitamins, minerals and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an IV drip. It bypasses the digestive system and delivers the nutrients promptly to the cells where they are needed. You can view the “IV Menu” on their website! They also have a functional medicine side of their clinic which differs from traditional medicine because it doesn’t just treat your current symptoms – it seeks to find the root cause of symptoms. They have a licensed and professional medical staff on hand to answer any questions and the spa-like atmosphere assures a relaxing visit.
From beach yoga sessions to advanced yogi meet-ups, Glow Yoga offers classes for every stage of your experience – be sure to check out one of their BEACH sessions! The early morning weekend yoga class located at The Gulf Restaurant is great for beginners and offers the perfect location on the sand with the relaxing waves rolling in. You also have the option of lunch and shopping nearby immediately after your stretch session. Another option for group exercise is Beach Life Fitness Studio in Perdido Key! The studio has two locations, one in The Villagio and another on Sorento Blvd and offers classes like cycle, boot camps and yoga with schedules and pricing tailored to the seasonal or vacation visitor! A great perk about this studio is the instructors really make it a mission to get to know you and you will leave class feeling like you just made new friends in the process!
Shopping & Salons
SanRoc Cay is a small but impressive outdoor entertainment district offering impressive lunch/dinner options, live music and great shopping options! After you shop at upscale boutiques like Jane Loves Shoes and Blue Lagoon Swimwear, you can stop in to San Bar for a quick beachy cocktail or drop into Serenity at the Beach for a glamorous blowout at this Aveda Salon. SanRoc marina is home to many fishing charters and as the sun goes down, you’ll see the boats rolling in with their daily catches and most captains filet their fish on the boats there at the marina and a few of the restaurants nearby will cook what was caught by their patrons! It is always a fun atmosphere and worth a visit.
We all deserve a little R&R but sometimes you actually have to make a point to put it on your calendar or you’ll forget to make plans for it! Find a day, grab a friend (or two) and make the most of a day off by making time for self-care. You owe it to yourself! If buying or selling a condo in the Perdido Key area is on your to-do list this season, give our team a call! We’ll meet you on the sand.
