If you’re looking for something Halloween-y or Harvest-y to do around Perdido Key this year, you won’t be disappointed. The area is known for it’s calm and blissful beach atmosphere, but it gets downright spooky for Halloween! If scares aren’t your thing, there are also stunningly rich harvest fairs and festivals to celebrate the fall season. Mild, breezy days turn into cool autumn nights during the fall, so be sure to get out and enjoy the perfect weather with any of these fun fall festivities. But watch out for ghouls, goblins, and ghosts!

Boo At The Zoo

October 20, 2019 | 1-4 p.m.

Gulf Coast Zoo

Take a walk on the wild side at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo’s annual Boo At The Zoo! You and your littles can don your scariest costumes and take a spooky stroll through the zoo to see your favorite animal friends in their Halloween get-ups. You can also enjoy trick-or-treat stations, games, prizes, and furry encounters of all kinds! But please, don’t share your candy with the critters.

Trunk R Treat

October 31, 2019 | 6-9 p.m.

The Wharf

This fang-tastic festival is a great event for some safe, family-friendly Halloween fun! You and your ghouls can scavenge a trunk-load of candies, enjoy fun activities like pumpkin painting and costume contests, and even go on crazy camel rides! Admission is FREE and it’s sure to be a scary good time for all!

Flora-Bama Halloween Costume Contest

October 31, 2019 | 6 p.m.

Flora-Bama

Don’t miss the most SPIRITed Halloween bash of the year! Flora-Bama’s iconic Halloween party features over $2,000 in prizes, all of the live music you can handle, and plenty of spooky spirits (of course). People go all out, so be sure to get creative! Participants must be over 18.

Wild and Wicked Beach Bash

October 18, 2019 | 5 p.m.

Gulf Place Town Green and Public Beach

This horrifyingly fun event features the Haunted Hustle 5k, Witches on Wheels bike ride and parade, and live music by the famed Fly By Radio! Come dressed in your spookiest costumes and join the competition to win prizes, race swag, and bragging rights. Beverages will be sold on-site and all proceeds benefit the Gulf Shores High School Athletic Department.

Town of Terror: Hotel mitcHELL

Weekends until November 3, 2019 | 6-11p.m.

OWA

OWA does Halloween in spooky style with their 2019 Town of Terror event! This year’s theme is Hotel mitcHELL and features a terrifying trip into a haunted hotel full of frights, screams, and hostage hotel guests. This intense attraction isn’t recommended for those under 13, but you can also enjoy a family-friendly haunted corn maze as well as other Halloween-themed activities in the downtown area.

Come out and celebrate the 12th anniversary of the area’s favorite seafood shindig! Plus, it all happens right on the beach! It’s a great way to spend a gorgeous fall afternoon in true Gulf Coast style.

Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show

November 8-9, 2019

You’ve never seen a show like this! The famed Blue Angels are an aerobatic flight team and the pride of Pensacola. This 2-day event features mind-blowing aerial feats, food vendors, family activities, meet-and-greets with the pilots, and more! Their homecoming show marks the close of the season, and trust us - they save the best for last! It’s the perfect way to spend a nice fall afternoon with your eyes to the sky.

Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival

November 1-3, 2019
